The German city of Kiel has the first articulated, 3-axle Citea with a length of 18.75 metres. A total of 36 VDL Citea SLFA-187 Electrics will run on 7 bus lines.
Cologne
Cologne has chosen to utilize the electric Citea for one of their busiest lines. 8 SLFA-181 buses are used to provide clean, quiet passenger service on line 133.
Venlo
In Venlo, even the regional lines are now benefiting from zero-emission service: 12 Citeas LLE-99 Electric are deployed on 3 different lines.
Münster
The German city of Münster is one of the first cities to electrify a complete bus line. Service on line 14 is provided with five VDL Citeas SLF-120 Electric.
Maastricht
Following completion of a pilot with several electric Citeas, line 3 is now operating with fully electric service, provided with four Citeas SLF-120 Electric.
